Hands.

We take advantage of them way too often. I say hands may as well be our most truest, most trustworthy and loyal friend. For those of us that are fortunate enough, they've always been around. Through thick and thin.
There are the down times... Ripping the skin that holds them together, jabbing our teeth into them, slicing them with paper accidentally, soaking them til they go all wrinkly and ugly, letting the kitchen knife cut them, burning them by the kettle's steam, vigorously writing with them until they swell...
Crumpling paper, smashing things into the wall, crying into them and wiping our tears, ripping our hair out, slapping, punching, shoving. They've been through all those times we feel down and depressed.
We sneeze into them, cough into them. And what do we do? We buy those new small hand sanitisers to make us feel better about germs.
Witnessing things we do, which are too explicit to mention. They know all our secrets.
And they've also been there in the good times.
For the moments that we hold our loved ones hands, intertwining our fingers and resting our palms against one another. Hand-written letters, playing instruments, gift-wrapping. Playing video games, playing sport. Sewing, planting, typing. Kissing them and blowing it away to a person far away. Sharing warmth and tenderness from them in those cold wintery days. Helping us take happy snaps with a click of a button. The moments when a baby wraps their entire hand around your thumb. For the moments that we get to do one of these:

Take care of your hands guys. Go buy some Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula and give them some lovin'.
