MJ le awesome

As a kid he was my idol, I remember watching his video clips and dancing to his songs at my sister's wedding. Just two days ago people were mocking the fact I was wearing one glove a la MJ style, just a week ago my sister was telling me she wanted to go to his could-be upcoming concert. No matter how many jokes we made about his nose, or his so-called "pedophile" scandal, we all loved him at heart. Don't lie! The news was flooding with tributes, songs, and eulogies from fans and friends yesterday, and I admit that not once I was sick of hearing about him. He may be dead, but his music still lives on.

Hands.

We take advantage of them way too often. I say hands may as well be our most truest, most trustworthy and loyal friend. For those of us that are fortunate enough, they've always been around. Through thick and thin.
There are the down times... Ripping the skin that holds them together, jabbing our teeth into them, slicing them with paper accidentally, soaking them til they go all wrinkly and ugly, letting the kitchen knife cut them, burning them by the kettle's steam, vigorously writing with them until they swell...
Crumpling paper, smashing things into the wall, crying into them and wiping our tears, ripping our hair out, slapping, punching, shoving. They've been through all those times we feel down and depressed.
We sneeze into them, cough into them. And what do we do? We buy those new small hand sanitisers to make us feel better about germs.
Witnessing things we do, which are too explicit to mention. They know all our secrets.
And they've also been there in the good times.
For the moments that we hold our loved ones hands, intertwining our fingers and resting our palms against one another. Hand-written letters, playing instruments, gift-wrapping. Playing video games, playing sport. Sewing, planting, typing. Kissing them and blowing it away to a person far away. Sharing warmth and tenderness from them in those cold wintery days. Helping us take happy snaps with a click of a button. The moments when a baby wraps their entire hand around your thumb. For the moments that we get to do one of these:

Take care of your hands guys. Go buy some Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula and give them some lovin'.

english-deprived, ranting maniac.

This is why I despise new technology. They give you something so wowfactoromglikewtfsugoiidesuneeee~ and then it crashes on you after a while! Got a new (who am I kidding it was another hand-me-down) Asus widescreen monitor yesterday out of the blue and then today! Today. It blacked out on me like 100000x times. I gave up on restarting and checking the plugs and wires so I just hopped on my dad's computer.
Luckily for me this computer doesn't have my music or bookmarked websites or the latest MSN. Therefore distractions = nada. But how could I ever, ever forget Blogger.com ;)
I don't feel like going to school anymore yo.
I'm about to explode with this English assignment. But I've come a long way! Probably email it late tonight. Sigh.
I'm so excited for Harry Potter, that I even wore my Harry Potter brown hooded trench to tutor and like did a Potter Puppet Pals parody (not even) FUNKAAAAYE. GinnyHarry is disturbing. Same with LavenderRon. Ewwwwwie. I can't wait til everyone discovers that Snape is innocent and hero in Deathly Hallows. And that Harry Potter does a resurrection and Voldy gets fooooooooled. FOOOOOOOLED.
Yeah, yeah YEAHHHH call me freaky.

who are you, really?

Someone once told me that I come across as such an innocent person that sometimes makes them wonder if I'm actually not. They say for all they could know, I may be part of the Yakuza.
Can you imagine a Kim with tatts on her back working underground with the Japanese mafia, hiding guns under her clothes and risking the lives of her loved ones? Sounds rad :)

What about a part-time Burlesque dancer? Burlesque > Pole because they are usually gorgeous, voluptuous and teasing women ;) Not really.

How about...a SUPERHERO. When asked, I used to want Invisibility as a super power...and now I'm not so sure. With a super power, a special ability, comes responsiblity and expectations. I probably couldn't stand being wanted and my name cried out for help all the time...Burdens can only go so far. Thats probably why superheroes don't exist. I don't need a superman, I think things happen for a reason and there needn't be immortality because that's just being selfish.

Maybe I can be a wizard! I think I'm more of a Fred/George than a Harry, or a Dumbledore, or a Hermione. I would love a snow owl, and a broomstick named Zach. I probably wouldn't like Potions, because all the cool kids love Defence Against the Dark Arts. Tranfiguration..eh. I think Herbology would interest me, but I'd also love riding a Hippogriff and this would all actually be...in Beaubatons because I love frenchies.

But I do appreciate the imagination. For all I know is, maybe a part of me can be that villainous Yakuzan stealing money and smuggling uncensored porno in your mailbox. I could also be your personal burlesque dancer with feathers in my hair and be a size 16. I could be a superhero, preferably like Wonderwoman coz shes charismatic (L) But I'm just Kim. :)

or am i?

like the back of my hand

clutching onto that familiar scent,
plain and cotton,
under our pillows,
hiding away from the laundry basket,
thin and fragile,
brought textures of security and warmth,
intoxicatingly assuring,
whats mine is yours,
whats yours is mine,
and it was only a dream,
it was only my blanket,
that was clutching onto that familiar scent.

The Chrysler PT Cruiser is music to my eyes :)

In dark purple, plox!

So I was rummaging around the house for a spare display folder and I found...

this!

An antique Fujica AX-5 Manual SLR which was my brothers back in the day. It got broken, he gave it to my dad, dad tried to get it fixed. Dad came back all pissy because they charged him shinnanigans, and it wasn't even fixed!
And then..Dad did the most immoral thing he could ever do to such an amazing object.
(Note: my dad values cameras just like he worships books.)
He thrashed it in the white drawer under our tv, amongst other junk.
And all this time, I can't believe I didn't know about it!
After storming into my dad's room, he told me I should just give up on the camera.
"No one uses film anymore Kim, its old."
But for the record, I'm not going to give up on this camera :)
Maybe sometime down the track, I'll be able to fix this beaut.
As for now, it rests majestically vintage on my shelf.

Sher Jenny 4unit Wolfram Alpha

is the shiznit!

The other day I witnessed three old dashing ladies helping each other, like what good friends do. Even without a man by their side, their frailness was cradled by each other's supporting arms of love. Mmmhmm, aint gonna need a man like you!
Watching them, I thought about my dear YELEKI. Let's buy the black beret, matching rainbow socks, and rock on. Imagine one day when we're in our 70s, wrinkly, and making blankets for our grandchildren...we could be sitting in front of the house, on a wooden veranda, with cups of tea and soft biscuits. The Three Musketeers, the awesome trio of high school.

Could we be like how we are now? Exploding with laughter, gossiping about idiots like Mr G, and all sorts. Could we be like that time at my house, jumping, laughing our heads off at our photos. We'll be living in a dimension of freaky technology, and I hope we do sometime make that Te-Form Rap video..so that one day we can watch it all over and laugh our heads off again.

I'll look at your wrinkles, my wrinkles, and see the laugh lines I've created with you guys.

Could we? :)

P.S: Amanda-san, we happy birthday'ed to you in your most favourite class. Hope you had a great day! (L)

No I'm not a saint, I'm not a sinner

This won't make any sense to you.

One should know when to quote and reference to someone else's work in case of the Big Bad Wolves coming to attack you. But in the intarwebz world, it doesn't really matter...until it actually happens to you. The feeling of seeing someone copy and paste your work exactly word for word hurts...right there. I should know. *utter painful face expression*
Though looking on the bright side, I convinced myself to believe that superstealingscabslut thinks I'm brilliant.

One should know better than to overindulge in lovely things containing traces of nut, milk and cocoa. And to overindulge luckily does not mean you will sprout pimples (as my skin immunisation has blessed me with) but, it will go straight to your thighs! It will make you wake up feel like a blob, and yet the addiction overcomes. Its a love-hate thing.

One should know limits of when to prance, dance and jance (jump-dance) and not to complain of being sore and feeling demented. One should tell self is unfit and learn to stretch properly.

One should read a book at a time, but the thrill of two different stories intertwines the emotions, imagination and magnificence into one. And hence, One then has a love affair with Charles Dickens and Oscar Wilde. Shhhhhhh!

One should finish assignment, so to begin another. The workload never ends, one shouldn't complain about being too caught up in other things. One must sign out now!!!!

handbuilt motivation, by yours truly.

I'm trying this new thing where I'm not letting anything get in my way anymore.
One afternoon spent going through sheet music, with the melodies of The Hush Sound and dusting my piano made me realise...It's time to start afresh.
Fresh.
The feeling of stepping out of a nice, long shower with your hair spilling of exotic fruits (or whatever your preference may be).
The feeling of a Sunday morning when you don't really need to do anything, maybe a sip of tea and a good book on your lap.
The feeling of opening your windows on a bright sunny day, breathing in the nature, letting its pureness consume you all over.
I'm starting afresh.
I'm going to stop posting unnecessary words that bring me down, that pierce me deep, that remind me of exactly why I posted them in the first place.
I'm going to hold my head up high, and be the beautiful not-so Upper East Sider with my girls and we're going to have the time of our lives.
I'm going to find new things to do, meet new people, and make the most out of these memories.
I'm going to concentrate, and try not to procrastinate, so I can kickass the HSC to the best of my ability.
I'm going to give everyone a chance, laugh more, bitch less, and try to leave the ugly past behind.
I'm going to read more, and be a better writer so that one day,
One day,
I'm going to convert all the unnecessary words into songs, compose my own music, and be a prodigy within myself.
Heck yes, I'm starting afresh.

winter, oh winter.

I can't believe that its already been half the year already.
1st of June, a gloomy start.
Cloudy morning. Soggy cereal. Frozen fingertips.
What a lifeless atmosphere.
The trees are losing their leaves. Not an echo of laughter, the sole of a shoe
Whats going on with the world?
And then
I smile and wave my gloved up hand
a beaming aura
I am embraced
And all the warmth of winter, the euphoria of friendship
rushes right back into the depths of my heart
Hey, winter. How you doing?
