Snoopy

You cute little thing,
I remember when we first got you in a box and all you wanted was milk
Then when you got older, you hated milk
Digging into mum's new poppies
Raging at my friends and scaring them,
But I know you love me most :)
Only letting dad bathe you, and then going off to roll in the grass,
sunbaking and then falling asleep,
biting the leash and dashing off to Lucky's kennel,
You gobbled up all of those little treats and always fought with Jason,
You spent your last night walking around the house,
weak, with every little careful step,
finding your way into my room
and we sat there
you and your shaggy hair with a few strands of grass,
we'll miss you.
Rest In Peace Dear Snoopy,

to write love on her arms

I couldn't resist...

A few years ago I came across this campaign through my friend Lenny. Yeah, it was pretty rad how all the cool scene kids would write it on their wrists and arms and wore their tshirts. I wanted to belong too...(AOS F YOU.) so on this special day, the American non-profit organisation To Write Love on Her Arms along with the "Love is the Movement" project, myself and many rejoice in writing "love" or "To write love on her arms" on our arms to share the message around.

TWLOHA(kinda looks like TWLIGHT doesn't it? psh twihards and twiskanks, relax brew.) aims to present hope and help people struggling with mental problems like depression, drug addiction, self-injury, and suicide. They seek to connect people to treatment centers, websites, books, support groups and etc. They also encourage people to have honest conversations about these issues, to live in community and to seek help for these treatable conditions.

Finally having the chance to research about this, I feel immenesly slack for those times I laugh and joke about these problems. I feel bad for not taking the opportunity to talk to people, to get to know them, to help them. There are always people out there facing many problems and hold this pain inside of them, they could be in our classes, in our neighbourhoods, the person we sit next to on the bus or train. And it is only so, that us, the soberly unproblematic peeps of society, should take a step forward and prove that help is always around.

To Write Love on Her Arms, join me.

do or don't ?

These strokes of motivation get me from time to time, and it's probably all talk. It's all been "I wanna, I will, I shall"- and not being able to justify that. It's not good enough.

There's been a talk over dinner about "don't let yourself down" and "try your hardest, you've got only one shot." And they're right, you know. I really can't believe I'm only starting to listen now.

I've been told that things you've been passionate about, courses you'd want to get in to, either make it or break it for you. People you'd plan to "hang out for drinks" could slip away right from the graduating moment. And sometimes, its for the best. The real world is ten times bigger than what you'd imagine.
That's what they say.
I'm doing quite fine actually, I'm just figuring out what works and what doesn't for me at the moment. In all honesty, I really don't know what to blog about anymore these days. School just seems to drown and consume you, and there's nothing left to talk about but "school". But have no fear lads, this ongoing cycle will go by in a jiffy. One more year.

if the world were to end

Mama Cao says "Theres no point in living long without a purpose"
The 2012 phenomenon is a range of beliefs and proposals positing that cataclysmic or transformative events will occur in the year 2012. The forecast is based primarily on what is claimed to be the end-date of the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar, which is presented as lasting 5,125 years and as terminating on December 21 or 23, 2012. Arguments supporting this dating are drawn from a mixture of amateur archaeoastronomy, alternative interpretations of mythology, numerological constructions, and alleged prophecies from extraterrestrial beings.
A
New Age interpretation of this transition posits that, during this time, the planet and its inhabitants may undergo a positive physical or spiritual transformation, and that 2012 may mark the beginning of a new era. Conversely, some believe that the 2012 date marks the beginning of an apocalypse.
yeah, okay, by 2012 we'll all be Transformer robots.
i don't think i'll be prepared to be exterminated by 2012, seriously, there's so much to be done
so much things to say, so much things to accomplish,
to see, to experience
but it sucks aye,
to live life and having to be careful
but hey, they keep telling us the world's gonna end
but baby, i'm not trippin'
not one bit!

perth

what started out to be one of the most quietest and lonley places i've ever been to, spending 5 days there gave me a bit of insight into things you'd learn and see from travelling around areas you'd never thought of going to. we were cosily accomodated in my sisterinlaw's apartment situated about 15 minutes from CBD where finding someone mowing their lawn was like seeing a shooting star. perth's a quiet, peaceful place-as I tell all who's asked :)

the city.
filled with cafe and outdoorsy restaurants, antique boutiques and thrift stores, theres skaters, cool "scene" kids, tb asians, and awesome uni students enjoying a cup of GJs.

Kingkathy, this is the thing that went a-dingdong every hour and made everyone around it gaze up in awe :) Fancy opal store underneath.

Speedy boats that gave you massive black cloaks if you wanted a ride in it. Okie Dokie!

This is Michelle, she's a bit of a chatterbox :)

Fremantle, lovely air, lovely fish and chips...mm.

All the beaches were crystal blue...like those you see in cruise getaway brochures and ads!

I fell in love with the buildings. This doesnt relate to the photo, but the people there are really nice and friendly. You'd find senior citizens eating raisin toast with jam and butter offering to help you clean up, lending a street directory. Customer service was super too, I've never seen so many happy and bright faces on such early mornings, it was so cute. Some would know you were from outta town, and they'd gaze at you and smile as you walk past with a lost look on your face.

This is Graeham, Michelle's "Poppy". Wise old Britishman, he was our chaffeur for those few days during our stay. He has almost as much energy as that little 6 year old critter herself, and loves Chinese food. Innit?

So many people drove Vespas... such a sophisticated and carefree vehicle. I want one!

This is Papa Cao, I less than three his Lacoste shades. He less than threes Michelle.

many ports, and over there they were feeding stingray!

if only i had a boat...

nothing is complete without a city night view. their ferris wheel was lit with pink, spot it!

a peaceful walk in botanic gardens, in the peaceful city of perth :)
