perth
what started out to be one of the most quietest and lonley places i've ever been to, spending 5 days there gave me a bit of insight into things you'd learn and see from travelling around areas you'd never thought of going to. we were cosily accomodated in my sisterinlaw's apartment situated about 15 minutes from CBD where finding someone mowing their lawn was like seeing a shooting star. perth's a quiet, peaceful place-as I tell all who's asked :)
the city.
filled with cafe and outdoorsy restaurants, antique boutiques and thrift stores, theres skaters, cool "scene" kids, tb asians, and awesome uni students enjoying a cup of GJs.
Kingkathy, this is the thing that went a-dingdong every hour and made everyone around it gaze up in awe :) Fancy opal store underneath.
Speedy boats that gave you massive black cloaks if you wanted a ride in it. Okie Dokie!
This is Michelle, she's a bit of a chatterbox :)
Fremantle, lovely air, lovely fish and chips...mm.
All the beaches were crystal blue...like those you see in cruise getaway brochures and ads!

I fell in love with the buildings. This doesnt relate to the photo, but the people there are really nice and friendly. You'd find senior citizens eating raisin toast with jam and butter offering to help you clean up, lending a street directory. Customer service was super too, I've never seen so many happy and bright faces on such early mornings, it was so cute. Some would know you were from outta town, and they'd gaze at you and smile as you walk past with a lost look on your face.

This is Graeham, Michelle's "Poppy". Wise old Britishman, he was our chaffeur for those few days during our stay. He has almost as much energy as that little 6 year old critter herself, and loves Chinese food. Innit?
So many people drove Vespas... such a sophisticated and carefree vehicle. I want one!
This is Papa Cao, I less than three his Lacoste shades. He less than threes Michelle.
many ports, and over there they were feeding stingray!
if only i had a boat...
nothing is complete without a city night view. their ferris wheel was lit with pink, spot it!
a peaceful walk in botanic gardens, in the peaceful city of perth :)

goodbye but not for long
While you all wallow in the rainy week(I kid),
I'll be in the West, catching "kangaroons" and learning Aboriginal tribal dances.
Or so I hope :)
And butter up sunshines, don't let the rain bring you down
Enjoy yourselves! Bring on the holiday spirit!
I depart 4am from the Cao household and shall return very very soon.
In the meantime, entice yourselves into the world's cutest vegetables.
for anyone

de-cluttering
1. A Barbie tin pencilcase which my friend and I once painted it with glitter nailpolish-oh it was badass. Mum found out when she walked into the room, and she scolded us for wasting her nail polish. From that day, I knew my mum could smell rebellion from five miles away.
2. One of the teddy bears I used to own when I was a baby. It has a pink ribbon tied around its neck and some floral tablecloth fabrics stitched on its feet and ears. It accompanied me to sleep last night, such a soft loveable thing :)
3. Friendship things. Necklace pendants and bracelets, charms and all. Cynny and I used to write letters to each other in primary school :$ The girl was so cool with her vintage typewriter, I loved looking at it :) And she was always better at me in aesthetics and design, so you'd find all these pretty drawings and borders ahhhh. We used to trade things as well, Lipsmackers-the little girl makeup craze. Good times Cyn, good times (L)
3. Diaries and journals. The stupid little doodles, the "my favourite teacher is..." or my "worst enemy is..." Pages ripped countless times just to embarass oneself less, only to start again :) A lovely teacher that taught me in year 3 gave the girls a journal each. The first thing I wrote in it was "KIM the f.w.p.s student. Gift from Miss See on Thursday 20th of December (last day of school) " Shame she had to leave :(
4. School photos. Its so freaky how some people just grow over the years and they still kinda look the same. The same smile, a more distinct cheekbone or jawline, a different haircolour. I dunno! Its interesting when you observe people from photos as they grow up :) I'll upload Primary ones someday.
5. Beads and little knick-knacks. Oh SCOOOBIES. Do you guys remember them? My gosh, those things were so time-consuming and such a fad! It used to be so cool to have them dangling on your pencilcases or bags or around your wrist. I forgot how to make them :( Who wants to bring back scoobies with me? :D
Well, back to cleaning in the world of Neverend.
